“Though Christ a thousand times in Bethlehem be born, If he’s not born in thee, thy soul is still forlorn.” (Edward Thomas)
Jesus made a startling statement at a time when masses of people were looking for an external government or kingdom to act as their savior and ultimate solution:
"Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]." (Luke 17:20, 21 AMP)
This kingdom within is the divine production center of life and life-experiences. This is God's ability working in and through you. This internal kingdom is the realm of causation. This outer world of experience is the realm of effect. If we are to master life, we must learn the laws that govern this kingdom inside so that we can harness and utilize this divine ability which can produce complete wholeness in every area of life.
"The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all." (Psalm 103:19)
This heavenly kingdom within you RULES OVER ALL! Awareness of this internal kingdom that rules all others makes the individual the master of his life-experience.
We are told in Proverbs 4:7,
"In all thy getting, get an understanding."
When you understand that the life-forces are within you which orchestrate events and experiences, you will then be equipped with the tools to master life itself. Every destiny-determining factor for your life has been placed under the dominion of Christ (John 5:22) and Christ is in you!
“And hath put all things under his feet…” (Ephesians 1:22)
Your feet undergird your body and it is with your feet that you stand. So, your feet represent your ability to understand.
When all things are under your feet, or under your spiritual understanding, you are in true spiritual dominion. You can withstand any challenge because you're armed with the spiritual understanding to outlast and overcome it. The understanding of "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) sanctions you from missing out on God's Unlimited Goodness and prevents you from creating hell on earth.
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8:2)
The Spirit of Life is the God-essence within you that is not subject to anything or anyone in this world. The only way to truly live happily and successfully in this world is to realize that we each possess Something or Someone that is not subject to this world. It is the Kingdom of God in you!
This is the gift of Christ. The true meaning of Christmas is a blessed realization and solution for the ails of this world.
